UFC’s Dana White Slams Bryce Mitchell’s ‘Dumb’ Hitler Comments

UFC President Dana White criticized fighter Bryce Mitchell for his recent Hitler comments, calling them “dumb” and “ignorant” in a public statement.

UFC President Dana White has strongly criticized comments made by featherweight fighter Bryce Mitchell on his podcast, where he defended Adolf Hitler, denied the Holocaust, and made offensive remarks about the LGBTQ+ and Jewish communities.

In a statement to ESPN, White expressed his disbelief at Mitchell’s words, calling them among the most ignorant he had ever heard. White emphasized the extreme harm Hitler caused, stating, “Hitler was responsible for the death of 6 million Jews, and he aimed to wipe out Jewish people entirely. To say you would want to go fishing with a guy like that is absurd.”

Mitchell’s comments came during the first episode of his podcast, “ArkanSanity,” where he controversially referred to Hitler as a “good guy” and claimed that Hitler “fought for his country.” These statements sparked outrage and condemnation from many, including White, who called Mitchell’s opinions “beyond disgusting” during a press conference following a Power Slap event in Saudi Arabia.

White continued to express his frustration, stating that Hitler was one of the “most disgusting and evil human beings” in history and anyone who tries to argue otherwise is foolish. He also pointed out that the internet and social media can sometimes give platforms to harmful and ignorant views, which contribute to spreading such dangerous ideas.

Despite the uproar over Mitchell’s remarks, White made it clear that the UFC would not take any action against the fighter. “It’s free speech,” White said, referring to Mitchell’s right to express his opinions. He also pointed out that fans who disagree with Mitchell would have the chance to see him face tough competition on UFC broadcasts, adding, “For all of you who hate Bryce Mitchell, you get to see him hopefully get his ass whooped on global television.”

While White condemned Mitchell’s offensive comments, he stood by the idea that Mitchell’s freedom to speak his mind should not result in punishment, even though many believe the remarks were deeply inappropriate.
